katie marie bruce is an artist working and living in southern Alberta. A recent graduate from York University, katie's work often includes print, textiles and occasionally sculpture. Her SSHRC funded thesis examined empathy, the affective/affected body, and the intersection of emotional labour and the non-performative labour of objects. Her most recent body of work looks to give visual vocabulary to her somatic experience of anxiety, explored in embroidery and print media works. 

She has presented her work in exhibitions, residencies and conferences across Canada.
